What you will achieve

Sync a module with a tab of a Google sheet, with changes in real time.

Before you start

• The Spreadsheet ID: the part of the sheet's URL between /d/ and /edit.
• A Google service account: its Service Account Email (the client_email in the JSON Google downloads) and its Private Key.

Step by step

1. In Settings → Credentials → Add credential, choose Google Sheets.
2. Fill in Spreadsheet ID, Service Account Email and Private Key. For the key, paste only the value of the JSON's private_key field (the block that starts with -----BEGIN PRIVATE KEY-----), not the whole JSON.
3. Click Test: it signs, requests the token and reads the sheet; if everything goes well, it reports how many tabs the sheet has.
4. Click Save.
5. In Settings → Sync, enable the module, choose the credential and, in Resource, the tab.
6. Choose the Direction, adjust the Field mapping and click Save.

Turn on real time

Google does not report its own changes. For them to arrive within seconds, paste the Notification from the spreadsheet script once:

1. Click Copy script.
2. In the sheet: Extensions → Apps Script.
3. Paste the script and save.
4. Select the growtekInstalar function, run it and authorize when Google asks.

Without the script, the sync keeps working on the daily run.

tip

For contacts, Unmapped columns as a note saves whatever the mapping does not use as a note: in spreadsheets, the team's own columns are often the most valuable part.

How to verify

• Test reports the number of tabs. If it cannot read the sheet, check that the service account has access to it.
• With the script installed, a change in the sheet shows up in Growtek within seconds.
