Shopify
What you will achieve
Sync customers, products (with their collections as category) and orders from a Shopify store.
Before you start
- The store's Shop Domain (for example
mystore.myshopify.com). - A Shopify app with its Client ID and Client Secret. They are in the Shopify Dev Dashboard (dev.shopify.com): open the app → Settings.
- The app needs the read permissions (scopes)
read_customers,read_productsandread_orders. To send data to Shopify, alsowrite_customersandwrite_products.
Legacy apps
The Admin API Access Token (apps legacy) is only for legacy admin-panel apps. If the client has one, it can be used instead of the Client ID and Client Secret; for new apps, leave that field empty.
Step by step
- In Settings → Credentials → Add credential, choose Shopify.
- Fill in Shop Domain, Client ID and Client Secret (or the legacy token).
- Click Test and then Save.
- In Settings → Sync, on the module's card (for example Products), turn on Enable module sync.
- In Connection, choose the credential, and in Resource: Customers, Products or Orders.
- Choose the Direction, adjust the Field mapping and click Save.
- Click Sync now.
Growtek exchanges the Client ID and Client Secret for an access token and refreshes it automatically.
How to verify
- Test validates the store and the permissions: if a read permission is missing, it fails; if a write permission is missing, it passes with a warning.
- After Sync now, the status shows Synced with the imported records.
note
Today the Shopify sync runs on intervals (once a day or with Sync now), not in real time.
