AI connections
What it is for
AI connections connects the agents to their providers: the AI model (OpenAI or Gemini) that thinks and replies, and, for the prospecting agent, the telephony (Twilio), the voice (Retell), the line it calls from and the Voice agents. Each step shows whether it is Done, Pending or Locked.
How to get there
Settings → AI connections · app.growtek.io/en/settings/ai
It only appears if the workspace has an AI agent enabled.
The screen in detail
Two collapsible groups. Each one shows Done or how many steps have been completed.
Customer Support Agent
- AI Model: the OpenAI or Gemini credential from the vault (Choose credential; Create credential takes you to Credentials).
- Agent language: the language it serves in (16 languages).
Prospecting Agent
- AI Model: only appears here if the support agent is not enabled.
- Twilio account: the Twilio credential.
- Voice: the Retell credential.
- Phone lines: the Outbound line (Country, Number, Verify number). The Inbound line is Coming soon. Locked until the Twilio account is set.
- Voice agents: preference for Male voice or Female voice, Voice names, Re-sync, Test agents and the Provisioned agents (four: inbound and outbound, with male and female voice). Locked until the voice and a verified line are set.
Below, the Call cadence.
There is no model selector: the platform uses the default model of the provider of the credential you choose.
What you can do
Connect the AI key
- In Settings → Credentials, click Add credential, choose OpenAI or Google Gemini, paste the API key and click Save.
- In AI connections, open Customer Support Agent (or Prospecting Agent if you only have prospection).
- In AI Model, click Choose credential and select the credential.
- Click Test connection.
How to verify: the block says AI active in this workspace. Without an active key the agents and the assistant do not reply, and the knowledge base does not index documents.
Connect Twilio and Retell and verify the line
- In Settings → Credentials, create a Twilio credential (Account SID, Auth Token) and a Retell AI one (API key).
- In AI connections → Prospecting Agent → Twilio account, click Choose credential and choose the Twilio one.
- In Voice, choose the Retell credential.
- In Phone lines → Outbound line, choose Country, type the Number and click Verify number.
- Twilio calls you: answer and enter on the keypad the code shown on the screen, until you see Line verified.
- Click Test connection on the line: Twilio account, Caller ID verified and Imported to Retell must all pass.
- In Voice agents, click Activate agents to provision them.
The full guide is in Phase 4 · Prospection.
Adjust the call cadence
In Call cadence → Outbound, set Start hour, End hour, Max attempts and Retry interval (minutes) and click Save. The default values and how they are applied are in Prospection campaigns. Inbound is Coming soon.
