Catalog

Both products

What it is for

The Catalog is what the company sells: products, services and projects. It is the source of truth for three things:

  • the support agent, which answers about prices, availability and features, and shares images and links;
  • the prospecting agent, which gauges interest in the items you choose for each campaign;
  • quotes, which are built with catalog items.

How to get there

Sidebar → Catalog & partners → Catalog · app.growtek.io/en/catalog/products

The catalog has three sections (Products, Services and Projects), each one visible if its module is active in the workspace and you have permission to view it.

What you can do

Create a product

  1. In Products, Catalog tab, click New product (or Create → New product). The wizard has 5 steps: Basics · Price · Categories · Gallery · Advanced.
  2. Basics: type the SKU, choose the Brand, fill in Commercial name and Description and upload the Main image. Click Next.
  3. Price: enter Price (COP), Stock, the wholesale prices if they apply, and check at least one channel in Sales channels.
  4. Categories: associate the product with one or more categories; optionally subcategories and Family.
  5. Gallery: Add image for additional images (drag to reorder them) and Add video to upload videos (mp4, webm) or paste a YouTube or Vimeo URL.
  6. Advanced (optional): barcode, model, warranty, Technical spec sheet (PDF), supplier, country of origin, features, weight, dimensions, SEO and the Active switch.
  7. Click Create product.

How to verify: Product created appears and the product shows up in the catalog.

  • Required: SKU, Commercial name, Description, Main image, Price, at least one sales channel and at least one category.
  • If there are no categories yet, create them first in the Categories tab.
  • Images up to 5 MB and videos up to 50 MB (the uploader shows the maximum).
  • In the Brand picker you can type a new name and choose Create brand «…».

Create categories, subcategories and families

  1. Go to the Categories tab (Categories and Subcategories).
  2. Click Create Category, type the name and click Create.
  3. Click Create Subcategory, type the name, choose the category it belongs to and click Create.
  4. To link existing products, open the subcategory and click Link product.
  5. For families, in the Families section type the Family name and click Add.

A family is an optional classification, independent of the category (for example, a brand line). Deleting a category does not affect the linked products.

Create a brand

  1. Go to the Brands tab and click New brand.
  2. Type the Name and, if you want, upload the Logo.
  3. Click Create.

The brand becomes available when creating or editing products and in the Brand dropdown of the import template. Create the brands before importing products: a row with a brand that doesn't exist fails.

Edit in bulk

  1. In Catalog, switch to the Table view and check the products.
  2. Choose an action from the bar:
    • Activate / Deactivate.
    • Price: in Change price choose Price to change (retail, wholesale or e-commerce), the mode Adjust by % (negative to lower it) or Fixed price, type the value and click Apply.
    • Stock: Available, Out of stock or On request.
    • Add to category.
    • Brand: choose one or Remove brand.

In the Table view you can also edit the retail price, the wholesale price and the quantity directly in the cell. If any row fails, the notice says how many were updated and how many had errors.

See catalog performance

The Performance tab has Most quoted and Best conversion, and a table grouped by Brands, Families or Suppliers with products, active, out of stock, average price, quoted, close rate, won and leads. Click a row to see those products in the catalog.

Inside a product, its Performance tab shows how many times it was quoted, the quoted value, the close rate and the quotes and leads where it appears. Amounts are only shown to people who can see all quotes.

Product trash

In the Categories panel, choose Trash. On each product, Restore brings it back to the catalog (if it was inactive, it stays inactive) and Delete permanently deletes it: you have to type the SKU to confirm.

danger

Permanent deletion cannot be undone.

Create a service

  1. Go to Services, Catalog tab, and click New service. The wizard has 3 steps: Basics · Price · Terms.
  2. Basics: upload the Image, type the Service name, choose the Category and write the Description.
  3. Price: enter the Duration and the Price (COP), or turn on Quote only if it has no fixed price.
  4. Terms: add Warranty and policy, FAQ, Success cases (one URL per line) and the Active status.
  5. Click Create service.

Only the name is required, plus a price or Quote only. In the list, the Pricing column says Priced or Quote only. Service categories are a flat list, with no subcategories.

Create a project

  1. Go to Projects, Catalog tab, and click New project. The wizard has 4 steps: Basics · Content · Products & services · Price.
  2. Basics: upload the Main image, type the Project name, choose the Category, the Description and, if applicable, the Location link, City and Department.
  3. Content: add images, videos and Highlights.
  4. Products & services: add the included products and services.
  5. Price: set the Price range (Min, Max, Currency) and the Active status.
  6. Click Create project.

Only the name is required. Without a minimum or maximum, the project is shown as "To quote". The City is used to assign the project's cases and leads to whoever covers that area, and the agent shares the location link when it is asked how to get there.

Import and export

Products, services and projects have Export and Import. See Imports and the columns in Import templates.

Frequently asked questions

The checklist says I have products without a price or photo. The agent quotes and shows what is in the catalog: fill in the price and the main image of those products.

I don't see the Brands or Categories tab. You are missing the brand.read or products.readCategory permission.
