Quotation templates
What it is for
Every quotation starts from a template: the template defines the document's sections (cover, text, products, terms, signature…), the logo, and the default currency and validity. Sales reps choose the template when creating each quotation; workspace administrators design them once.
Without at least one active template you cannot quote.
How to get there
Sidebar → Sales → Quotes → Templates button ·
app.growtek.io/en/quotations/templates
The Templates button only appears to those who can create or edit templates. Sales reps use the templates when quoting, but don't manage them.
The screen in detail
- Card list: one per template, with its preview, whether it is Visible to the whole workspace or Visible only to you, and how many times it has been used (# uses). Each card's ⋯ menu lets you Duplicate or delete it.
- New template opens the creation wizard.
- Editor: when you open a template, the sidebar lists its sections, the canvas shows the document and the Editing section panel has the fields of the selected section. Settings opens Template settings.
The section editor is designed for desktop. A screenshot of the editor with the sidebar, canvas and editing panel highlighted would help first-time users.
What you can do
Create a template
- In Quotes, click Templates and then New template.
- Identity: enter the Name (required), the Description and the Category. Click Next.
- Preferences: set the Currency (COP, USD or EUR; COP by default), Validity (days) (from 1 to 365; 30 by default), Open tracking and Notify on view. Click Next.
- Visibility: choose Workspace (the whole team) or Private (only you).
- Click Create and edit: the editor opens so you can add the sections.
The template's currency and validity are the ones each new quotation takes.
Currently, new quotations always start with open tracking and the view notification turned on, regardless of what the template says. They are changed in each quotation's Settings.
You can also create a template from an existing quotation with Save as template in its editor.
Add and order sections
- Open the template and click Add section.
- Choose the section type.
- Select the section in the sidebar or on the canvas and edit its fields in Editing section.
- Drag the sections in the sidebar to reorder them; use the icons to hide or delete them.
Changes are saved automatically (you will see Saving…).
| Section | What it is |
|---|---|
| Cover | Cover page with title, subtitle and main image. |
| Quote details | Card with the client's data and the project details. |
| Rich text | Free-form formatted text block. |
| Products | The quoted items in showcase, summary or compact format. |
| Products table | Summary table with the items (quantity, price, discount, total). |
| Brand showcase | Editorial block to present the brand and its values. |
| Video | Video player with cover and optional description. |
| Gallery | Image grid or carousel with captions. |
| Feature list | List of features with icons and descriptions. |
| Team | Cards for the assigned team with photo and short bio. |
| FAQ | Accordion of frequently asked questions. |
| Terms & conditions | Long terms and conditions text. |
| Terms grid | Compact grid of commercial terms with icons. |
| Signature | Acceptance and signature block: the client signs when accepting and the sales advisor signs before sending. |
The template only configures how the items are displayed. Products, services and projects are chosen when creating each quotation. That is why every template should have a Products section: the assistant's checklist warns you when there are templates without one.
If the template has the Signature section visible, the sales advisor has to sign each quotation before sending it and the client has to sign to accept it.
Change the settings and the brand
Click Settings in the editor to open Template settings:
- Information: name, description, category and visibility.
- Brand:
- Logo on the cover (a light or white format works best).
- Primary color and Accent color of the document. Use workspace color leaves them empty so the document follows the workspace's brand color (see General).
- Typeface: Inter (default), Montserrat, Poppins, Lato, Roboto Slab or Playfair Display. It applies to the whole document, including the PDF.
Text always stays readable: if a color doesn't contrast with its background, it is darkened or lightened just enough. The font size can't be changed.
Quotations copy the template's brand when they are created: changing the logo or colors later does not affect quotations that already exist. If the template has no color of its own, the workspace's brand color and logo are used.
Brand showcase colors
Select the Brand showcase section and, in the Colors group (empty or Use brand color = brand colors):
- Title color: the main tagline and the value titles.
- Background color: the section background. With a background image, it tints the overlay on top of the image.
Left empty, the section uses the brand colors. With a background image the section is always dark, so Theme is disabled.
Duplicate or delete a template
From the card's ⋯ menu. Duplicate creates a copy with " (copy)" at the end of the name. Deleting cannot be undone: the template is no longer available for new quotations.
Changes to quotations already created
The section structure of each quotation is set by its template when it is created. In the quotation you edit the content, but you cannot add or reorder sections.

FAQ
A sales rep says they can't create quotations. Check that there is at least one template with Workspace visibility (private ones are only visible to whoever created them).
Can I change the font size? No. You can choose the typeface and the colors; sizes are fixed so the document looks the same on screen and in the PDF.
I changed the template and the quotation didn't change. That is on purpose: each quotation keeps the structure and brand of the template as it was when the quotation was created.
